About
Noah Carter (b. Essex, 1992) is a filmmaker and artist based in Wivenhoe, UK. He studied Architecture at University of Kent (2010-16). In 2018 he started a film production company which specialises in producing short documentary films about the visual arts. He began exhibiting his own paintings in 2020 and was selected for the Royal Watercolour Society Open 2023. He won the RWS Young Artist Award and became a Guest member of the Royal Watercolour Society.
He uses his growing collection of houseplants as inspiration for charcoal drawings and watercolours on paper and Aquabord. Working from direct observation he encourages us to look again and appreciate the complexities and idiosyncrasies of the ordinary things that surround us everyday.
